Today was a long and quite intense with emotions day. First thing in the morning, I got a delivery with my new tele lens, sigma 70-200 2.8. As soon as I opened it and attached to my camera body, there was a problem. The body didn’t want to turn on, as if it had no power or battery. Quite annoyed, I started doing a research and my friend advised me to update a system of the camera body.
Later today I was about to have a ballet photoshoot, for a very inspiring group of adults, so I brought my 24-70 mm and 85 for portraits. The class was in the evening, and I knew the place was not so well lit, so I decided to bring the light with me. It was my first „official” photoshoot like this and I found it quite challenging, with bad lighting and not so interesting background. But the girls were so beautiful and hardworking! I was astonished and could not stop looking at them. As a former ballerina, I really treasure a deep passion and focus they were doing everything with. It gave me something to think about.
So, despite harsh circumstances, I think I managed to take some decent photographs. I’ve done a primary selection tonight and tomorrow i’m going to start with editing, because I have so many of them!
Also, tomorrow I have to return the lens, because after coming back home, I’ve updated the system, but still, the camera shuts off when it’s attached, so i’m quite disappointed about this.. I need that lens for upcoming projects, I'll have to figure something out.
